2011 Rock Gem & Jewelry Show

What a delightful evening we had with Dennis (Denny) Minner, Jr. at his Art Exhibit Opening, at Fay’s Place on Sat., March 26, 2011. Thank You -----to all who joined us you certainly made the evening a success. Dennis gave a very entertaining and informative talk about his art and some of his adventures in creating it. The many complements received during the evening, are certainly appreciated by Dennis and myself. Toni Becker made the evening complete with her delightful voice and music.
Denny’s art work will be available at ** Fay’s Place, 2299 N. Main St., PB 573.778.1122 through April 30th. Looking forward to you visiting, to see his art work again during that time and invite your friends. Any of his art can be ordered here at Fay’s Place.

Hints & Ideas.
Clean silver in seconds - add 1 tablespoon of salt and 1 tablespoon of water softener to each quart of hot water from your kitchen sink. Mix until it dissolves, then add a sheet of Foil in the water. Rest a piece of silverware on top of the Foil, and move the item around in the water. It will change right before your eyes
Jewelry cleaner: In an aluminum pie plate, combine 1 tbsp. washing soda (Arm & Hammer makes this), 1 tbsp. salt and 1 qt. boiling water. Dip the jewelry in the mixture and it will clean instantly. (***NOTE: This should be used for hard jewelry like gold, silver, diamonds and sapphires. Use only toothpaste or rubbing alcohol on soft gems like emeralds. Olive oil should be used to clean pearls.)
