Create: having a variety of CLASSES available

(See the calendar for which classes, dates and times ~ all classes will be scheduled on the calendar.)

Classes are forming and are available on sufficient interest and teachers being available for day and evening, in a variety of formats:

  • Painting ~ oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor
  • Drawing ~ beginning basic to advance, figure study
  • Pottery   ~ clay--  hand-built work & on the wheel
  • Sculpture ~ clay, wood, stone
  • Jewelry ~ basic to advance --  beading & wire wrap (see below)

    Jewelry Beading Class – Beginning – Tools Provided, Supplies included
    Learn to make single strand beaded necklace and create a pair of matching pair of earrings! Students in this class learn layout techniques, all about beads and beading components, how to use headpins to create dangles and pendants, etc. Also, crimps, covering crimps, and clasps are covered.   Students leave with at least 2 finished jewelry items.
    For anyone interested, tools& supplies will be made available for purchase.
     
    Advanced Jewelry Beading   - Tools Provided, Supplies included
    Learn to make multi-strand bracelets or necklaces and learn to create awesome beaded chandelier earrings in one short class (about 2 hours).  Students learn the use of multi-strand components (clasps, spacer bars, links, etc.), learn how to design and create chandelier earrings using earring drop components, including chains, and learn how to use crimping and beading pliers, and how to properly finish their creations.

    Fun & Easy Wire Techniques For Jewelry Makers
    Class Name: Jewelry Basics         Tools Provided, Supplies included
           3 Quick Moves:    Loop - Bend - Wrap
    Learn to make your own earring wires & earring hoops.
    Discover the easy way to make your own jump rings!
    Create your own clasps using three quick & simple steps.
    Make your own headpins and eye pins easily.
    Transform a bead into a bracelet, earring, or necklace component!
    In one short class (about 2 hours), you can learn how to create your own professional-looking jewelry findings, which will save you lots of dollars over the course of your jewelry making career!
    If you plan to make jewelry gifts for this season, you don’t want to miss out on this opportunity!! Class size is limited, so enroll early!

    Wire-Wrap Ring Class   Tools Provided, Supplies included
    Students create 3/4 beautiful wire-wrapped rings in this short class (2- 3 hours). Students begin with the simple one bead ring, then create a three bead ring, advance to the sculpted gem ring. Students learn the use of ring mandrels, sizing techniques, wire twisting, and all about wire gages suitable for ring construction.  Including the practice bead rings, students could leave with as many as 5 rings!
    For anyone interested, tools& supplies will be made available for purchase.
     
     
    Wire Wrapping- Pendants – Classic Style -Supplies included
    Learn the traditional wire-wrap techniques that will enable you to create jewelry settings for all shapes of cabochons, fossils, gems, stones, etc. Students will first practice basic wire techniques using practice wires, creating a practice pendant. Then students will wire-wrap a pendant using sterling silver or 14 K gold-filled wires ( gold wire based on availability). A bonus “bead sculpture” wrap will be taught.   Students learn the correct use of wire wrap tools, wrapping techniques, wire twisting, bail making, and all about wire gages and tempers suitable for wrapping pendants. Students leave with 2 finished jewelry items. Class is about 2/3 hours depending on size of class (class size is limited).

    Fun & Easy Wire-Wrapped Bracelets –Tools Provided,  Supplies included
    In one short class (about 2 hours), learn to make a lovely wire-wrapped bracelet.
    Using either sterling silver or 14K gold-filled wires (or a combination of both), you can create a stunning, simple, and elegant bangle bracelet. Using the same techniques (time permitting) create a lovely pair of bangle earrings to match!! Students learn about wire gages and tempers suitable for bracelet construction, the proper use of wire-wrap tools, how to twist square wire, and how to form and shape bracelets.
